Asymptotics for General Connections at Infinity

چکیده
For a standard path of connections going to a generic point at infinity in the moduli spaceMDR of connections on a compact Riemann surface, we show that the Laplace transform of the family of monodromy matrices has an analytic continuation with locally finite branching. In particular the convex subset representing the exponential growth rate of the monodromy is a polygon, whose vertices are in a subset of points described explicitly in terms of the spectral curve. Unfortunately we don’t get any information about the size of the singularities of the Laplace transform, which is why we can’t get asymptotic expansions for the monodromy.

Nonsymmetric Gravity Has Unacceptable Global Asymptotics
We analyze the radiative aspects of nonsymmetric gravity theory to show that, in contrast to General Relativity, its nonstationary solutions cannot simultaneously exhibit acceptable asymptotic behavior at both future and past null infinity: good behavior at future null infinity is only possible through the use of advanced potentials with concomitant unphysical behavior at past null infinity.
متن کاملOn the Asymptotic Representation of the Solutions to the Fourth General Painlevé Equation
There have been many results on the asymptotics of the Painlevé transcendents in recent years, but the asymptotics of the fourth Painlevé transcendent has not been studied much. In this note, we study the general fourth Painlevé equation and develop an asymptotic representation of a group of its solutions as the independent variable approaches infinity along a straight line.
متن کاملLarge-time asymptotics of solutions to the Kramers-Fokker-Planck equation with a short-range potential
In this work, we use scattering method to study the Kramers-FokkerPlanck equation with a potential whose gradient tends to zero at the infinity. For short-range potentials in dimension three, we show that complex eigenvalues do not accumulate at low-energies and establish the low-energy resolvent asymptotics. This combined with high energy pseudospectral estimates valid in more general situatio...
متن کاملExtremes of Gaussian processes over an infinite horizon
Consider a centered separable Gaussian process Y with a variance function that is regularly varying at infinity with index 2H ∈ (0, 2). Let φ be a ‘drift’ function that is strictly increasing, regularly varying at infinity with index β > H, and vanishing at the origin. Motivated by queueing and risk models, we investigate the asymptotics for u→∞ of the probability P (sup t≥0 Yt − φ(t) > u) as u...
متن کاملAsymptotics for Walks in a Weyl chamber of Type B ( extended abstract ) †
We consider lattice walks in R confined to the region 0 < x1 < x2... < xk with fixed (but arbitrary) starting and end points. The walks are required to be ”reflectable”, that is, we assume that the number of paths can be counted using the reflection principle. The main result is an asymptotic formula for the total number of walks of length n with fixed but arbitrary starting and end point for a...
